The Story Behind

Crafted Canine

Zach Fedora is the founder of Crafted Canine and a nationally recognized dog trainer with over 15 years of experience working with police and high-performance working dogs. Raised on Canada’s East Coast, he developed a strong bond with animals early on—working on farms, at a zoo, and training his family’s sled dogs.

Zach entered law enforcement in 2008, became an active police canine handler by 2016, and was promoted to head trainer in 2021. In that role, he was responsible for the selection, development, and performance of multiple police K9 teams. He placed in the top 3 at the National Police Canine Trials and holds national certification as a detection and patrol dog trainer through the Canadian Police Canine Association.

Throughout his career, Zach has traveled across North America, training under some of the industry's most respected professionals. He integrates proven, field-tested methods with modern advancements to deliver results that are practical, dependable, and grounded in real-world performance.

Crafted Canine was founded to offer that same level of expertise to dog owners seeking meaningful change. Zach’s balanced, reward-based approach emphasizes relationship, clarity, and long-term success—empowering owners with the tools and knowledge to work confidently with their dogs.

Today, Zach serves the Lower Mainland with training that is purposeful, results-driven, and crafted to each dog, each owner, and each goal.
